This stand is made from 1 1/4″ slab wheel and a 6″ dowel. I am constantly frustrated when the dolls I make tip over. This design solves that problem whether you are making a felted wool doll head or a traditional Waldorf style doll. Simply sharpen the dowel with a pencil sharpener until it is the desired size and add to the head from the neck area. For extra stability, you can drill a small hole in the dowel and run your neck string trough it. I especially love this for our nature table dolls! Set of 6.
You can find patterns that use this stand in “The Nature Corner” and Living Crafts Magazine Summer Issue 2008 in our Craft Books category.
